Originally from Minnesota, I have lived in the Seattle area since 1993, with Ohio and Texas in between. My first career was a high school physical education teacher. I like to get out and enjoy nature: running, hiking, biking, and bird watching. I have started travelling and have been to the Galapagos Islands, East Africa Safari, Iceland and the next trip is to Costa Rica, in February 2010.
As a member of the National Parks Conservation Association and WA Trails Association, I like to do volunteer work on trails. And I am a member of the City of Kent Citizen Emergency Management Team.
